As we experienced last week across the Fifth Congressional District, storm season has officially arrived. I have been thinking of and praying for the people of Seminole and Pottawatomie Counties and throughout Oklahoma as they work to recover and rebuild from the destructive tornadoes. My staff and I have spoken to utility providers, including OG&E and Summit, to ensure hazards are mitigated and gas and power are restored as quickly as possible.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday, amid a crisis-level infant formula shortage in the United States, U.S. Reps. Stephanie Bice (R-OK) and Randy Feenstra (R-IA) introduced the Formula Act, which is legislation that would direct the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to establish and communicate to Congress clear standards by which it domestically regulates infant formula. Washington, D.C. – Today, Representative Stephanie Bice’s bill, H.R. 5324, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Weather Radio Modernization Act, passed the U.S. House of Representatives. This legislation directs NOAA to address the outdated technology currently in use throughout its weather radio system. In addition, it provides funding for stations that serve areas that have little or no reliable quality cell phone service, ensuring that these areas receive adequate support to maintain existing systems relating to weather alerts, such as earthquakes, avalanches, chemical releases, or tornadoes. Lastly, this legislation establishes a modernization initiative for broadcasts to transition to IP-based communications and develop options for backup capabilities and enhanced signal transmission. This bill paves the way for future development and provides failsafe options, so the National Weather Radio (NWR) is never down for an extended period and outages will be less frequent.

Instead, the left has weaponized the federal government in order to prevent the spread of “misinformation” through social media.

Our nation is experiencing an unprecedented crisis at our southern border – a place that is supposed to be the bedrock of maintaining order, fairness, and security for the American people. Instead, President Biden opened the flood gates to illegal immigration on day one of his presidency by reversing the “Catch and Release” and “Remain in Mexico” policies. These dangerous decisions have threatened the safety of our country – and he is showing no signs of stopping.

President Biden has been desperately searching for ways to lower record-high gas prices, yet instead of addressing the root causes, he continues to slap a bandage on this self-inflicted crisis by tapping into the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR). This is the third time Biden has tapped into this emergency reserve since coming into office. In November, he chose to release 50 million barrels of oil and in early March he released 30 million more.
