Bice Statement on the Passage of H.R. 7910

Washington, D.C. - Representative Stephanie Bice (R-OK) released the following statement:

“As a Member of Congress, I take my oath to uphold the Constitution seriously and I find it highly concerning that this bill contains language that was recently struck down as unconstitutional by the 9^th Circuit Court of Appeals," Rep. Bice said. "This legislation would not improve public safety, prevent these tragedies from occurring in the future, or solve the underlying issues. I support numerous pieces of legislation that would address root causes, such as prioritizing mental health services for all Americans, and strengthening school security.”
