House Appropriations Committee

The House Appropriations Committee was established in 1865 and controls discretionary spending and has oversight over the expenditures made by the federal government. For the 119th Congress, Congresswoman Bice was appointed to three subcommittee’s on the Appropriations Committee. She was honored to be selected as the Vice Chair of the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Subcommittee. Congresswoman Bice will also serve on the Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Subcommittee and the Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies Subcommittee. Congresswoman Bice was first appointed to the Appropriations Committee at the start of the 118th Congress.  

Committee on House Administration 

The Committee on House Administration has jurisdiction over election reform, House operations, House oversight, and Capitol security. Congresswoman Bice was once again named as the Chairwoman of the Subcommittee on Modernization & Innovation. This subcommittee is working to uphold and strengthen Article 1 of the Constitution and is primarily responsible for bringing Congress into the 21st Century. She was first appointed to the House Administration Committee at the start of the 118th Congress.
