Stephanie Bice is a fourth-generation Oklahoman currently serving as the U.S. Representative for Oklahoma's 5th Congressional District. She was elected to Congress in 2020 and was chosen by her colleagues to serve as the 117th Republican Freshman Class President, the first female ever to be elected to the role. Prior to her congressional service, Bice served in the Oklahoma State Senate from 2014 to 2020. In the state legislature, she focused on issues including fiscal responsibility, economic development, and job growth.
Bice earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Oklahoma State University. Before entering politics, she worked for almost 20 years in the private sector, gaining experience in business development, financial oversight, and sales.
In the 118th Congress, she served as the Sophomore Class Representative to the House GOP Elected Leadership Committee (ELC), and on the powerful Appropriations Committee as well as the Science, Space, and Technology Committee, and the Committee on House Administration. She also served as Vice Chair of the Republican Main Street Caucus.
This Congress, she serves on the Appropriations Committee, where she was named Vice Chair of the Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development Subcommittee. Additionally, she is the Chairwoman of the Subcommittee on Modernization & Innovation within the Committee on House Administration. Bice was also named to a seat on the United States Military Academy at West Point Board of Visitors.
Stephanie and her husband Geoffrey are the proud parents of two adult daughters.
