In life, there are certain situations that catch you off guard and inspire you to enact change. Learning about the heartbreaking acts of fertility fraud committed on families across the nation is one of those situations. When I watched the Netflix documentary “Our Father” and heard that there have been hundreds of cases where fertility doctors knowingly implanted their own genetic material into their female patients without their knowledge or consent, I was enraged.
The Republican majority is in full swing. Committee chairs and memberships are in the process of being formed. On the House floor, we’ve passed a strong, conservative rules package and multiple pieces of effective legislation that align with the Republican Commitment to America.
Washington, D.C. – Representative Stephanie Bice (OK-05) released the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 21, the Strategic Production Response Act:
“President Biden has weakened America’s energy security in an attempt to temporarily lower gas prices leading up to the 2022 election,” Rep. Bice said. “Oklahomans deserve more than political games. H.R. 21 is a step toward allowing America to produce reliable and affordable energy to lower prices at the pump and ensure we’re prepared for true energy supply emergencies.”
Washington, D.C. - Congresswoman Stephanie Bice (OK-05) introduced the Stop Environmental Calculations (SEC) Act, which would prohibit the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission from requiring an issuer to make climate-related disclosures. This comes after a proposed rule by the SEC released in March of 2022, which requires public companies to report detailed disclosures on climate risk and green house gas emissions. This includes Scope 3 reporting, which the EPA does not require.

House Republicans argued Democrats will "weaponize" the U.S. Supreme Court amid "dangerous" calls to pack the Court, during a Wednesday press conference in support of a constitutional amendment to maintain the number of justices at nine.
"What the Democrats are trying to do now in the Senate to change the Supreme Court, to pack the Supreme Court, shakes the very foundation that our country was founded on, and it destroys the Constitution," Rep. Ralph Norman, R-S.C. said during the press conference.

This legislation ensures that crude from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve does not flow to companies that are headquartered in countries listed under the State Department’s Defense Trade Control Country Policies List, which includes: Belarus, Burma, China, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, or Venezuela. In addition, this legislation prevents the sale of crude from the SPR to entities headquartered in Russia. This comes after the U.S.
