As a member of the House Armed Services Committee and a strong supporter of our brave troops and veterans, it is an honor to work on the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) every year. The NDAA is the single most important piece of legislation that comes out of the Armed Services Committee each year. This legislation traditionally has strong bipartisan support and seeks to advance American military might whether on land, air, sea, or space.

After a year of overreaching subpoenas and dramatized hearings, the next show trial event from the January 6 Select Committee will take place Thursday, during prime time. This further proves that this biased committee does not intend to investigate what occurred on Jan. 6, but instead weaponize the government for their own political gain.

Last week, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 7688, the Consumer Fuel Price Gouging Prevention Act, also known as the Socialist Energy Price Fixing Act. As a relentless advocate for American energy independence, voting against this crippling legislation was an obvious choice.
