Washington, D.C.- Today, the House of Representatives voted to pass the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2024, legislation which includes six appropriations bills: Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration; Commerce, Justice, Science; Energy and Water Development; Interior, Environment; Military Construction, Veterans Affairs; and Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development. This package provides targeted cuts to wasteful non-defense programs. Importantly, it strategically reduces spending in a responsible and sustainable manner.

Washington, D.C. - Congresswoman Stephanie Bice (OK-05) recently spoke with the Daily Wire about her new bill, the Timely Reporting Act, which would force Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to release the border encounter numbers within the first 7 days of the month. If he misses the deadline the office of the Secretary of Homeland Security will receive a 25% salary cut.

Washington, D.C.- Today, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to avert a government shutdown and extend the funding for Military Construction-Veterans Affairs, Transportation-Housing-Urban Development, Agriculture, and Energy and Water until March 1st and the other eight appropriations bills until March 8th.

Washington, D.C. - Today, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to formalize the impeachment inquiry into President Biden. This means that the Oversight, Judiciary, and Ways and Means committees will continue investigating whether sufficient grounds exist for the House of Representatives to exercise its Constitutional power to impeach President Biden. This inquiry will remove legal ambiguity and guarantee that the House has the necessary resources and tools to ensure the American people receive the answers they deserve.

Washington, D.C.- Today, the U.S. House of Representatives voted on a two-step stopgap funding bill which seeks to avert a government shutdown. In step one, four appropriations bills: Military Construction-Veterans Affairs, Transportation-Housing-Urban Development, Agriculture, and Energy and Water are extended until January 19th. In step two, the remaining eight appropriations bills are extended until February 2nd.

Washington, D.C. – Last week, after the election of Rep. Mike Johnson as Speaker, the House voted on multiple pieces of legislation that were supported by Congresswoman Bice. The first was H.Res. 771, which asserts Israel’s right to defend itself, condemns Hamas, and calls for the release of seized hostages. The second bill was H.R. 4934, the Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies Appropriations Act. This bill funds the Department of Energy, Army Corps of Engineers, Bureau of Reclamation, and other related agencies.
