Restoring Law and Order in America

Americans deserve a nation that’s safe. Under one-party Democrat control of our government, we have faced unprecedented crises that have threatened the safety and security of our country. Deadly drugs are flowing over the southern border, crime is running rampant throughout the nation, and our President has shown weakness on the world stage. Luckily, Republicans have solutions. We are committed to protecting the American people and have tangible plans to restore order in our great nation.

First, we must secure our southern border. Under President Biden, record illegal border crossings have led to more lethal drugs and overdoses, more crime, and overwhelmed border patrol. Furthermore, our Border Patrol Agents do not have the necessary resources to execute their mission. Since Biden took office, we have seen enough fentanyl enter the country to kill every American nearly seven times over, 3.1 million migrant encounters, 800,000 known gotaways, and 56 terrorists apprehended. I have visited the border twice so far and witnessed this national security and humanitarian crisis firsthand. We must immediately secure our border and fully fund ICE and border patrol so they can effectively protect and safeguard our nation.

As a result of Democrats’ “Defund the Police” movement and soft-on-crime policies, law enforcement officials across the country are facing the toughest working conditions in years. Murder rates and intentional killings of law enforcement are at 20-year highs. It is critical that we protect and support law enforcement officers who risk their lives daily to keep Americans safe.

Additionally, Biden’s weakness and incompetence is having geopolitical ramifications. Only 45% of Americans have a great deal of trust and confidence in the U.S. military. Under President Biden, America’s adversaries are emboldened. Biden has failed to stand up to the Chinese Communist Party, allowed the Russian invasion of Ukraine, sought to cut deals with foreign adversaries, and allowed the resurgence of terrorism in the Middle East due to his disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. As a member of the House Armed Services Committee, and a member who represents many servicemembers and their families in Oklahoma’s Fifth Congressional District, I am focused on and dedicated to bolstering our defense and national security.

Overall, under Democrat control, our nation has become less safe. My Republican colleagues and I are focused on implementing solutions and restoring law and order in our nation to ensure safety and security for all Americans.
