Congresswoman Bice Votes to Avert a Government Shutdown

Washington, D.C.- After voting to prevent a government shutdown this evening, Congresswoman Bice issued the following statement:

“A government shutdown would mean our servicemembers would be forced to go without pay during Christmas and the holiday season. I could not in good conscience allow that to happen. This legislation, which is similar to what I helped negotiate alongside President Trump and House Leaders, will support Americans across the country and provide necessary relief to our farmers and those who have been negatively affected by natural disasters. The fight is not over, and I will continue working alongside President Trump to enact his agenda and get our country back on track.”
