Bice Votes to Protect Women & Girls in Sports
Washington D.C. - Today, Congresswoman Bice voted for the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act of 2025. Over the past few years, women's safety has been threatened due to the changes made to Title IX by the Biden Administration. The language was specifically loosened to allow transgender women who are biological males to be allowed to compete against biological women. There are clear biological differences that can lead to dangerous and unfair environments for women to compete against men in sports. This legislation will ensure the safety of women and girls' sports by banning all males from participating in women’s school athletic programs. Congresswoman Bice released the following statement: “Title IX was a significant milestone for women nationwide, enabling them to participate in competitive physical activities without concerns for their safety. If we want women's sports to continue to be a safe environment that is pivotal in the development of young women, then ignoring the biological differences between men and women is not an option. I will always fight for women's right to safety and protection.” |
