Bice Secures Wins for Oklahomans in FY22 Appropriations Bills
Washington, D.C. – Representative Stephanie Bice (OK-05) voted in favor of the two divisions making up the Fiscal Year 2022 appropriations bills that included many conservative values and 15 of Rep. Bice’s priorities for Oklahomans.
“While this legislation is not perfect, and certainly not the bill I would have drafted, I voted in support of both divisions of the Fiscal Year 2022 appropriations bill. The defense portion of this legislation is vital as we face growing threats from near-peer adversaries, Russia and China. Critically, this bill increases national security spending by 5.6%, maintains key pro-life Hyde Amendment protections, and provides additional funding to secure our southern border. This legislation also provides funding to assist Ukraine as they counter the Russian war machine. I was able to secure numerous priorities for Oklahomans, including nine defense and aerospace provisions throughout Oklahoma’s Fifth Congressional District, funding for the Oklahoma City Memorial Endowment, support for the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, and a study on erosion occurring along the North Canadian River.”
