Bice Reacts to President Trump's Latest Executive Order

March 20, 2025

Washington, D.C. - Congresswoman Stephanie Bice issued the following statement after President Trump's Executive Order on the Department of Education:

"Today's decision empowers parents and renews commitments to put the educational needs of our children above the desires of Washington bureaucrats. This executive order will reduce regulations and streamline the process of sending funding to states and localities."

Background: Federal funding for students with disabilities under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, Title I funding for low-income schools and federal student loan payments will remain unchanged under the order while Secretary McMahon works on a plan to bring these funds closer to states, localities, and more importantly, students. Furthermore, the White House’s executive order calls for the "uninterrupted delivery of services, programs, and benefits on which Americans rely."
