Bice Proudly Supports Lower Energy Costs Act

March 30, 2023

Washington, D.C. -Today the U.S. House of Representatives in bipartisan fashion passed H.R. 1, the Lower Energy Costs Act. Congresswoman Bice issued the following statement:

“Today I was proud to vote for H.R. 1 the Lower Energy Costs Act. Since President Biden took office, we have seen a full on assault on domestic energy. His anti-American energy policies have caused the price of gas and home heating to soar, resulting in skyrocketing inflation. The Lower Energy Costs Act would increase domestic energy production, reform burdensome permitting processes, and streamline energy infrastructure and exports. The positive impact this legislation will have on Oklahoma cannot be overstated. This bill is an all-of-the above approach to energy that gets our country back on track. I was also excited to see that my legislation, the Bureau of Land Management Mineral Spacing Act, was included in the package. This bill will prevent unnecessary delays for energy producers and remove duplicative red tape that will allow for the unleashing of American energy.”
